Nobby has been in a number of groups in his time, including Who and Rolling Stones tribute bands. This has led him to grace stages in many parts of the UK and on tour in europe. His early days saw him in the line-up of an embryonic Tears For Fears and later with Jesus Jones and Marshall Hain.

As part of his chosen profession as a sign language interpreter he has been seen appearing on stage alongside the good and the great such as Michael Palin, Terry Pratchett, Dame Judi Dench, Nigel Planer and Jeremy Paxman, amongst others, at venues such as the Cheltenham Festival of Literature and Arts and Hay-on-Wye.

A co-founder of the GlamBusters, Nobby can be seen performing on electric and upright Bass (the latter a custom flying V!) and is one of the very few masters of the Theremin. If he can't be found on stage it's always worth looking outside, where he often dissapears on a walkabout during sets
